This p series tv is well worth money the picture quality is pristine and colorful as you would expect from a high end tv purchase. This has definitely elevated my gaming even though its a little bigger than i wanted at least the full features of my next generation console work again on my tv with HDR and dolby vision and the gaming pro game engine in vizio tvs. There is no issues with lag, screen tearing or the Variable Refresh Rate.
Very happy with the picture, audio, and quality of this tv. 75 inches plus popular apps, voice control with remote, Alexa, or Google all for a great price.
The built-in Smartcast works fine, but is a wee bit sluggish for me. So most of the time I use my Fire Stick 4k. I have watched a couple of 4k Blu-ray discs and all I can say if the picture is beyond stellar.
This TV is 120 hertz refresh rate to give seamless motion. There are two HDMI ports are dedicated for 4K 120 Hz for connecting your gaming consoles. It also features AMD freesync pro graphical processor that can make up for lost frame rates or upscale. This also features low latency to minimize lag to 25ms with what they call as ‘pro gaming engine’.
Hardware:
It is a VA panel (vertically aligned LED), and therefore great for contrast and true black with a con of limited view angle. It comes with 4 HDMI ports (1 – eARC, 2 – 4K 120fps,1 – HDMI – all are HDMI 2.1 i think), there is an USB-A port for plug and play, optical port and 3.5 mm for audio out, antenna. The TV stand sits flat and makes a full contact on the surface which is refreshing and different from most TV manufacturers that use arch type. The top of the legs have rubber covering to place a soundbar, see pictures attached, my soundbar sit nice and gripped on the TV stand.
The remote comes with preinstalled streaming apps like Amazon prime, netflix etc. for easy access. Remote is slim and minimal buttons and also features voice control. I have used the voice control and it does great in searching as well as a smart control. I can say things like ‘open so and so show on youtube’ and it does precisely without the need of Alexa or home. The eARC works great and as well other HDMI’s, I can turn on content on my 4K player without the need of it’s remote, which is amazing.
This is where this TV shines, it comes with all three popular dynamic ranges like Dolbyvision, HDR10+ and HLG. It automatically selects based on the signal from video codecs and display the content type on top right corner. It comes with over 210 local dimming zones and 1200 nits peak brightness, in other words the best possible contrast between light and dark colors. There are advanced features for pictures to reduce jarring or motion blurring etc… apart from being a 120 hz frame refresh rate. That leads me next topic – gaming.
Overall, this Vizio P-series comes with some high-end features and dynamic ranges along with variable refresh rates for both entertainment and gaming. Build quality and picture clarity is spotless, the downside is the cast issues and reboots that I have mentioned above. At the price point this a great TV, at least to consider or to be compared with top models.
If your looking for the best tv but dont want to spend 2,000 or more this is an amazing large size screen tv. It even works with next generation consoles unlike the v series by vizio.
