Applications Are Free
First, apply online at free.arkansas.gov. Unlike some state lotteries that charge a fee for applications, all you need is an email address and a credit card number (but no payment is required until your application is approved). You’ll receive notification of your eligibility and next steps within 24 hours of applying online—but only if you earn points in any of these categories: GPA; ACT/SAT score; courses taken or in progress; or extracurricular activities.
When Can I Apply for Arkansas scholarship lottery?
Applications for A+ Scholarships open April 1 and close April 30, at 11:59 p.m. CST. If you are 16 or 17 years old, applications must be submitted by May 31 during your senior year of high school and no later than July 31 of your senior year if you’re under 16 or a junior in high school.
Who is Eligible to Apply for Arkansas scholarship lottery?
In order to qualify for a scholarship, you must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident of Arkansas with a high school diploma or GED and be currently enrolled in an accredited higher education institution, as well as maintain satisfactory academic progress (at least a 2.0 GPA) toward your degree. Additionally, applicants must not have been convicted of certain criminal offenses, have more than $5,000 in non-scholarship student loans or owe arrears on other state or federal assistance programs.
